Manchester United will reportedly have to see off threats from Arsenal in order to sign Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens. According to a report from CaughtOffSide, the former Belgium under-21 international is set to cost around €10 million (via The People's Person).
While Ruben Amorim has been far from impressed in his team's goalkeeping department, the need to bring in Lammens doesn't seem immediate. According to this report, the Red Devils could look to sign the 22-year-old either in the ongoing transfer window or during the summer.
It claims that the purpose of this signing would be to provide stiff competition for the club's first choice, Andre Onana. The Cameroon international has come under pressure following errors in recent weeks, which may suggest that a first-team spot in this position is up for grabs at Old Trafford.
However, Manchester United are said to possess alternatives in the form of Illan Meslier and Gregor Kobel.
While Andre Onana has looked shaky, Arsenal's first choice between the sticks, David Raya has looked assured in goal. The former Brentford man has made 26 appearances across competitions this season for the Gunners, keeping 11 clean sheets in the process.
As far as Lammens is concerned, he may opt for a move to Manchester over north London simply because of his ability to secure regular game time. Lammens himself has played 20 matches in all competitions this campaign, from which he's registered five clean sheets. He's contracted with his current team till the summer of 2027.
Chelsea to compete with Arsenal and Manchester United for PSG star - Reports
Chelsea are reportedly set to compete with Arsenal and Manchester United for the signing of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) striker Randal Kolo Muani in January. This is as per French outlet Foot Mercato, which claims that the Blues are looking to explore a move for the 26-year-old in the coming days (via Metro).
The France international is a versatile talent, who can not only play as a striker but also operate on the flanks when needed. This attribute seems to be a key feature of Chelsea's interest in the player after losing Mykhailo Mudryk through an indefinite suspension following a failed drug test.
Meanwhile, Arsenal's interest may be cooled, with Gabriel Jesus rediscovering his goalscoring touch in recent weeks. Manchester United also have a couple of options in this department in the form of Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
