Manchester United will face competition from RB Leipzig for the services of Randal Kolo Muani, according to L'Equipe. The 26-year-old is no longer a first choice under Luis Enrique at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and will apparently be allowed to leave in 2025.

The Red Devils are looking to add more bite to their attack, amid the uncertainty about the future of Marcus Rashford. The Premier League giants are long-term admirers of Kolo Muani and have been linked with the player for a while.

The Frenchman joined the Parisians in the summer of 2023 for a reported fee of €90 million. However, he has failed to cement his place under Enrique at the Parc des Princes.

The player was left out of the team against Lyon on Sunday, perhaps hinting that the end is nigh. It now appears that Manchester United will have the chance to sign him in January.

The Red Devils are looking to turn things around under new head coach Ruben Amorim, who took charge at Old Trafford last month. The Portuguese has already taken some tough decisions, including keeping Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho out of the squad for the Manchester Derby.

PSG are apparently willing to send Kolo Muani out on a six-month loan, with an option for a permanent transfer next summer. That would suit Manchester United, who may not have the funds to sign the Frenchman in the winter.

However, the Premier League giants will face competition from Leipzig for the player. Kolo Muani has registered two goals and one assist from 14 games this season and is under contract until 2028.

Manchester United registered a stunning 2-1 league win over Manchester City in the Manchester Derby on Sunday, December 15. Pep Guardiola's team went ahead in the 36th minute through Josko Gvardiol.

The Red Devils finally found a breakthrough after Amad Diallo was brought down in the box by Matheus Nunes late in the second half. Up stepped Bruno Fernandes to bring Ruben Amorim's team back into the game.

Amad then took matters into his own hands, rounding up Ederson and slotting the ball into the back of the net. It was Amorim's fourth win in seven games since taking charge of Manchester United.

The Red Devils are now preparing to travel to London on Thursday, December 19, to face Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.
