Manchester United are reportedly keeping close tabs on RB Salzburg striker Adam Daghim. According to Caught Offside, the Red Devils are watching the 18-year-old Danish striker and could make a move for him shortly.
United are reportedly considering various options as a replacement for Antony. The Brazilian winger has failed to live up to expectations since completing an £80 million move to Old Trafford, and Daghim is one player on the club’s radar.
The RB Salzburg youngster is a versatile attacker who can operate as a centre-forward or a winger. Thus, he would offer coach Erik ten Hag multiple options in the attacking third.
Daghim joined RB Salzburg last term from Danish club AGF. However, upon signing for the Austrian side, he was sent on loan to lower division side FC Liefering where he registered 10 goals and eight assists in games across competitions.
His impressive output prompted a return to Salzburg where he is now a first-team player. He has scored twice in 10 games for the club this term and recently featured in their UEFA Champions League victory over Sparta Prague a couple of days ago.
It is now left to be seen if he can continue to impress and convince the Manchester club to make a move for him. A future deal between the club and the player will be a win-win for both parties. For Daghim, it will be an opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in Europe, while Manchester United could benefit from his immense talents.
RB Salzburg have produced some notable talents in the past couple of years, with players like Erling Haaland, Karim Adeyemi and Sadio Mane readily coming to mind. Daghim could be the next big export from the Austrian club.
Manchester United interested in signing RB Salzburg midfielder as a long-term replacement for Bruno Fernandes
Manchester United are also closely monitoring midfielder Oscar Gloukh. The RB Salzburg youngster has been identified by the club as a potential long-term replacement for club captain Bruno Fernandes.
Gloukh is currently one of the highly rated young midfielders in Europe and is on the radar of various clubs. He has proven to be a creative player, posting 14 goals and 23 assists in 65 games for the RB Salzburg.
Fernandes' current contract at Old Trafford does not expire until 2027, but the club are planning for life after their Portuguese playmaker. It remains to be seen if Manchester United will attempt to recruit the Israeli youngster in the coming future.
