Manchester United are keeping tabs on Samu Aghehowa and Francisco Moura, according to a report by Daily Mail (via Mirror). Both players are regulars for FC Porto in the ongoing 2024-25 campaign.

Manager Ruben Amorim reportedly sent scouts to watch both players as Porto secured a 2-0 win over Casa Pia on Monday, December 2.

Aghehowa has been decent in front of goal in recent months for Porto. In 16 appearances, he has scored 13 goals and registered one assist. The Red Devils' interest in signing him could be seen as a move to strengthen their attacking prowess and depth.

The Spaniard could also be a cheaper alternative to Viktor Gyökeres, Manchester United's main target in the center-forward position. Aghehowa was linked with a reported £35 million move to Chelsea last summer. But the deal failed to materialize. If signed by United, Aghehowa could enhance the Red Devils’ attacking outlook.

Meanwhile, Moura has also been brilliant for Porto as a left-back this season. In 20 appearances, he has registered seven assists. The Red Devils could be looking to sign him due to the persistent fitness dilemma of their first-choice left-back option Luke Shaw.

However, the aforementioned report states that the Red Devils might not make any major signings in the upcoming January transfer window. Rather, the club will gather information about their potential future signings. Both players are contracted at Porto till June 2029.

Harry Maguire is hopeful that the Red Devils hierarchy will extend his contract, as per ManUtdMen (via Transfer News Live on X).

Maguire joined the Red Devils from Leicester City for a reported €87 million in August 2019. However, the Englishman has fallen down the pecking order at center-back in recent months.

This season, Maguire has only registered 10 appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils following the arrival of Matthijs de Ligt.

Maguire's current contract at Old Trafford expires next summer. However, the contract agreement includes an option of a further year. The Englishman is reportedly hoping that the Red Devils will offer him a new deal.

The 31-year-old has made 216 appearances, scoring 12 goals and registering seven assists since joining Manchester United.
