Manchester United and Manchester City keeping tabs on 22-year-old Serie A ace ahead of potential deal: Reports

Premier League giants Manchester United and Manchester City have set their sights on Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, as per TMW. The 22-year-old Japan international has distinguished himself as one of the most impressive goalkeepers in Serie A this season, earning plaudits.

Suzuki was scouted by both clubs in the first half of the Serie A season, with his performances earning him serious interest. Manchester United have been his long-term admirers, having watched him play for Urawa Red Diamonds. The youngster turned down a move to the Red Devils, instead moving to Belgium for regular game time.

Suzuki has been in Europe since 2023, spending the 2023-24 season at Belgian outfit Sint-Truiden before moving to Parma last summer. The young goalkeeper has amassed 18 appearances in Serie A this season, keeping three clean sheets.

Manchester United remain unconvinced by the displays of both Andre Onana and his backup Altay Bayindir, therefore, the club are keeping an eye out for potential replacements. Manchester City, as well, are prepared for a goalkeeping change, with Ederson linked with a summer exit.

Suzuki will not be allowed to leave Parma midway through the campaign, seeing as he remains pivotal to their season. The Serie A club will, however, not stand in the way of a summer switch to one of the Premier League's biggest sides, as per the aforementioned report.

European giants Real Madrid have joined Manchester United and Manchester City in their pursuit of Brazil international Ederson, as per Calciomercato.com. The Atalanta man is primed for a move to one of Europe's top sides after impressing in the colours of La Dea.

Real Madrid have had scouts watch Ederson on several occasions as they continue to prepare for the eventual exit of captain Luka Modric. Atalanta have made it clear that they will only be willing to listen to offers from €60 million for the 25-year-old.

Ederson has many suitors after his performances for the reigning Europa League champions in the past year. The versatile midfielder has 25 appearances for the Bergamo club this season, with two goals and an assist to his name.
