Manchester United offer three players to Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce

Manchester United have reportedly offered three players to Turkish giants Fenerbahce managed by their former manager Jose Mourinho. As reported by Fanatik via Tribal Football, Antony, Victor Lindelof, and Christian Eriksen have been offered to the Yellow Canaries.

The Red Devils appointed Ruben Amorim as their new manager in November but he has not enjoyed the best start to his stint. He has lost six of his first 11 games in charge of the club winning just four and drawing another.

Quite naturally, the former Sporting CP manager is evidently looking to bolster his squad, but for that, they must sell some of their underperformers. Antony, Victor Lindelof, and Christian Eriksen are understood to be out of Amorim's plans and have been offered to Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce.

Mourinho signed Lindelof at Manchester United in 2017 and the Sweden international is currently among the longest-serving players at the club. However, the 30-year-old has been limited to a squad player at Old Trafford and has started just four games this season.

Eriksen, on the other hand, was managed by Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur and is on the fringes of Amorim's squad. The Denmark international joined the Red Devils in 2022 on a free transfer and has made 89 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals and providing 16 assists.

Meanwhile, Antony is arguably the biggest flop in Manchester United history, having failed to live up to his massive £86 million transfer fee. He has made 94 appearances across competitions for the club, managing just 12 goals and five assists.

Chris Sutton predicts the outcome of the Manchester United vs Liverpool game on Sunday

Pundit Chris Sutton has backed Liverpool to secure a landslide victory against their bitter rivals Manchester United on Sunday, January 5. The two giants of English football have been in contrasting form this season.

Arne Slot's side have been arguably the best team in Europe while their opponents are 14th in the Premier League table. Sutton claimed that Ruben Amorim's side could get demolished by Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

He was quoted as saying by BBC:

''The historic rivalry between these two clubs is intense but, on the pitch, the contest is not even close at the moment. Manchester United boss Amorim is talking about being in a relegation battle and you can see why. His side were torn apart in the first 30 minutes by Newcastle at Old Trafford on Monday, and why would anything be different at Anfield?''

The pundit added:

''Whoever Liverpool pick, they have got goals in their team and United have no chance of keeping them out. The scoreline won't hit double figures but anything else is possible, and that is me being nice to United. Liverpool should demolish them, and they will demolish them - it is just a question of how many goals they get.''

Predicting a 5-0 win for Arne Slot's side, Sutton concluded:

''United will play for pride, play for the badge and for the jersey and all of that, but it won't make any difference. Liverpool are in a different stratosphere at the moment and I feel sorry for Amorim because this is going to be another painful afternoon for him.''

Manchester United are winless in their last nine trips to Anfield losing five times and drawing four times. They have conceded 18 goals during that run while scoring just once.
