Manchester United have initiated an investigation to identify the mole at the club, according to The Sun. A leaked XI was doing the rounds a day ahead of the Manchester Derby, claiming that neither Marcus Rashford nor Alejandro Garnacho were in the starting XI.
When the Red Devils announced the team ahead of the game on Sunday, December 15, it was noticed that the leaked XI was spot on. The Premier League giants are understandably furious about the issue and want to identify the culprit at the earliest.
This is not the first time that Manchester United's starting XI has been leaked ahead of schedule. The issue was also prominent during former Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag's reign.
The report adds that Ruben Amorim has questioned Garnacho and Derby hero Amad Diallo regarding the matter. The Ivorian won a penalty, which Bruno Fernandes converted, and also scored the winner in the 2-1 win over Manchester City at the Etihad.
Speaking about the incident after the win, Amorim acknowledged that the situation wasn't ideal.
"I know that story. I don't know, I think it's impossible to fix nowadays because you have a lot of people in the club, the players talk with agents. I don't know, you can talk with friends, so it's hard to know. It's not a good thing but let's move on and go to the next one and see if they find the next starting XI," said Amorim via Daily Mail.
Alejandro Garnacho has previously been linked to the Manchester United leaks after it was claimed that his brother was behind them. However, Garnacho's brother has since denied the matter on social media.
Why was Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford missing from Manchester United's squad for the Derby?

Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford wasn't included in the squad for Manchester United's game against Manchester City. When questioned about the decision ahead of the game, Ruben Amorim insisted that the matter wasn't a disciplinary issue.
"It is important to say why. It was not a disciplinary thing - next week, next game, new life," said Amorim.
He continued:
"They are fighting for the places but for me it's important for me the performance in training, the performance in game, the way you dress, the way you eat, the way you engage with the team-mates, the way you push your team-mates."
Manchester United will next face Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup quarterfinal on Thursday, December 19.
