According to The Sun, Manchester United players may have to approach their Manchester City counterparts for VIP tickets to the Oasis reunion show that is set to take place next year. Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher, who are two of the top faces of the Oasis band, are notably City fans.

Manchester City players, which include Jack Grealish, Kyle Walker, John Stones, and Phil Foden, are reportedly close pals with the Gallagher brothers, who are often seen in the dressing room at the Etihad Stadium celebrating derby wins.

Liam and his brother delight in trolling Manchester United for their lack of trophies in recent times. Due to the hostility that Noel and Liam Gallagher have for the Red Devils, United players may find it difficult to get a ticket directly for the upcoming show.

As such, turning to their Manchester City counterparts for tickets to the much-anticipated Oasis reunion show could be the only recourse for Manchester United players.

A source said:

“United’s lads are used to being the hottest ticket in town. They have a load of lackeys who generally get them what they want. But they know getting in touch with Liam or Noel is not going to help, so are hoping their City mates can use their contacts.’’

Meanwhile, Jack Grealish has revealed that he is yet to get tickets from Noel Gallagher as he was unsure when Manchester City will play in the Club World Cup next summer. However, he added:

“Trust me, I’ll be there. It’ll be the first time I’ve seen them live.”

Oasis are a rock band from Manchester that has been inactive since 2009. Lead guitarist Noel Gallagher quit following the cancellation of a show at the Paris Rock en Seine festival the same year.

The reunion tour was announced in August 2024, with gigs set to take place in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin next summer.

Former Manchester City player tells Ruben Amorim three Manchester United players should build his team around

Ex-Manchester City player Shaun Wright Phillips has suggested three players that Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim should build his team around.

Amorim’s time at Old Trafford isn’t going according to plan. The Portuguese manager has been defeated four times in his nine matches in charge of United. His last match was a humbling 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth in the Premier League on December 22.

Ruben Amorim seems to be finding it difficult to finalize his starting lineup, and most of his players have been blowing hot and cold in their performances.

Amid the selection issues that Amorim seems to be facing, Wright Phillips has mentioned three Manchester United players that Amorim can rely on. The former Manchester City winger said in an interview with SportsCasting;

“Obviously, Bruno. I would say Amad as well because I quite like him, his work rate. The way he wants to play, those two suit those midfield areas. I’m not sure if he knows the rest of his midfield. I’d also say Mazraoui. He seems to play a lot, and he seems to play the way Amorim wants to play. Other than that, I still think he’s still trying to find out who he likes and who he doesn’t like.’’

Marcus Rashford seemed to have become Amorim’s favorite in the latter’s first few days at Old Trafford. However, the England forward has fallen down in the pecking order as he wasn’t part of the matchday squad in the last three matches.
