Manchester United have reportedly set sights on Randal Kolo Muani of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The Red Devils face competition from Arsenal, who also want to bring in the Frenchman.
As per a report in L'Equipe, PSG are keen on letting Kolo Muani leave in the winter window and are ready to let him go out on loan as well. The Ligue1 side are desperate to make space in the squad and the 25-year-old does not feature in Luis Enrique's plans for the season.
Manchester United are looking to add firepower to their attack as Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have not started well. They believe the two players need time to develop and see the PSG star as a short-term solution.
Arsenal are also looking to bring him in since Gabriel Jesus has fallen out of favor with Mikel Arteta. They see the French striker as the ideal candidate to challenge Kai Havertz for the starting role and are ready to lure him to the Emirates.
However, both clubs will find it difficult to convince the forward to join them. Kolo Muani has insisted that he wants to fight for his place at PSG. He told the media (via Yahoo Sports):
“You have to keep the mental side. It is up to me to continue to work so that the manager trusts in me. I am keeping my head on my shoulders and I’m going to continue to work.”
PSG are also in the market for a forward after Kylian Mbappe left the club for Real Madrid in the summer.
Manchester United told to sign Viktor Gyokeres by Micah Richards
Micah Richards has urged Manchester United to sign Viktor Gyokeres. He believes the Sporting CP star will be the one to lead Ruben Amorim's side and not Rasmus Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee. He said (via Manchester Evening News):
"If I was Man United, I would go and buy him [Gyokeres] tomorrow. They've got Hojlund, they've got Zirkzee, and they come to feet a lot. When they try to spin, they don't have that blistering pace or that running power. I don't want to say he's rapid like Mbappe but the first thing Gyokeres wants to do is run in behind."
"He constantly makes runs, not just centrally, but to the left, to the right. He kept stretching Man City's defence and they didn't know how to deal with it. And when he gets in front of goal, he's composed," he added.
Apart from Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are also said to be chasing Gyokeres.
