According to Fichajes.net (via TEAMtalk), Manchester United are interested in signing Victor Osimhen in the upcoming January transfer window. This comes after the Red Devils were defeated 3-0 by Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday, December 22.
Osimhen, who is on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has proven to be a formidable striker for the Turkish side this season. In 15 appearances, the Nigerian international has netted 12 goals and registered five assists.
Osimhen's presence could transform the Red Devils' attack if the deal becomes a reality. The aforementioned report also claimed that INEOS are also interested in signing Osimhen to provide competition for Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee at Old Trafford.
However, United would have to match the €75 million release clause set by Napoli. In 133 appearances across competitions for the Serie A side, Osimhen has scored 76 goals and provided 18 assists.
Chelsea were in serious talks with Osimhen last summer over a possible move to Stamford Bridge. However, the parties failed to reach an agreement on personal terms. According to the report, the Blues, along with Paris Saint-Germain, are still interested in the Nigerian striker.
