The Red Devils have had a shaky start to the 2024-25 football campaign, despite backing manager Ten Hag in the summer transfer window. United reportedly spalshed a whopping excess of €200 million on several signings during the just concluded transfer window.
Manchester United brought in the likes of Leny Yoro from Lille, Manuel Urgarte from Paris Saint-Germain, Joshua Zirkzee from Italian club Bologna, Noussair Mazraoui, and Mattthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich, respectively.
Despite the heavy reinforcement being made by the club, head coach Ten Hag hasn't been able to instill confidence in the club's decision-makers as their performances this season have been quite underwhelming.
Ten Hag's side have picked up just two wins from their opening four games this season and are currently sitting in 10th position on the league table with six points.
Recent reports now suggest that the club is already make plans for any eventualities that could occur during the season and have already made contacts with Allegri, who is currently without a job.
The Italian tactician is believed to have gotten the approval from Manchester United Chiefs, and they could make an attempt to bring him to Old Trafford should they eventually decide to part ways with Ten Hag.

Both players are reportedly back on the pitch trainning after being sidelined with respective injuries.
When asked on the chances of Mount and Hojlund starting against Palace this weekend, Ten Hag said:
"It's very good news they are back in the pitch. They are back in team training, we have to decide whether they are fit enough to start [on Saturday] but it is very pleasing they are fit and back in the squad."
He added:
"We have so many games in this block to cover, so very very happy. We have to make the final call, they did a couple of training, we have to see how they recover and tomorrow they will make the final call."
