Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha. However, the West Midlands side are unwilling to sell their key players in the January transfer window.

Cunha has been in terrific form this season, scoring seven goals and providing three assists in 12 Premier League games. He has been one of the few shining lights for Wolves, who have won just two league games. The Brazilian's performances have seen a lot of clubs take interest in signing him.

As per TBR Football, Newcastle United and Napoli sent scouts to monitor Cunha during Wolves' clash against Fulham on Saturday, November 23. He scored a brace to help his side win 4-1. Manchester United and Tottenham are also interested in signing him in January.

Manchester United have scored just 13 goals in the Premier League this season, with only three sides having scored fewer goals. Tottenham, meanwhile, are the top scorers in the league with 27 goals but have had to deal with numerous injuries. Richarlison and Wilson Odobert are still out while Son Heung-min, Dominic Solanke, and Timo Werner have all suffered injuries.

Hence, both sides are keen on signing Cunha, who can play across the front line. However, Wolves are unwilling to sell their key players in January as they hope to overturn their season. The Brazilian's contract with the club expires in 2027 and as per Transfermarkt, his market value is €45 million.

Ruben Amorim assesses Manchester United's players after Ipswich draw

In Ruben Amorim's first game in charge as Manchester United's manager, they played out a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town on Sunday, November 24. Marcus Rashford gave United the lead in the second minute at Portman Road but Omari Hutchinson restored parity in the 43rd minute.

After the game, Amorim said about his side's performance (via manutd.com):

"It is hard to expect anything now. It is not a surprise but you see in-game. That is why I was a little bit anxious, because you cannot understand what will happen in the game. I felt that. I felt that they were trying. They were thinking too much in the game and that is normal.
"We start very well, but then we should have more possession with the ball and kept more of the ball. Sometimes, you have more of the ball in the defence and the rest of the guys were too stuck because they were thinking where they should be.
"This is the first point, when we make a new structure and we are so clear on that, they need time to have some fluidity in the game. I felt that, but it is [just] two training [sessions] and they did OK."

Manchester United are 12th in the Premier League table, 15 points behind leaders Liverpool. They will next face Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, November 28.
