Manchester United midfielder Casemiro is allegedly prepared to secure a move to the Saudi Pro League, drawing interest from Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr.

Casemiro, who was reportedly linked with a transfer away from the Red Devils in the summer, is believed to be not in head coach Ruben Amorim's plans for the future. His current contract at the Old Trafford side will run out in June 2026.

Now, according to Brazilian outlet UOL, Casemiro is ready to end his tenure at Amorim's outfit in the upcoming January transfer window. He has recently attracted attention from Saudi Pro League sides such as Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Ettifaq, and Al-Qadsiah owing to his situation at his club.

However, Ronaldo's team and the other Saudi Arabian clubs are likely to face a hurdle to sign the former Real Madrid man. None of the Saudi Arabian outfits have any vacant spots left for foreign stars for the ongoing 2024-25 campaign.

Casemiro, who will turn 33 next February, has helped Manchester United win a FA Cup and an EFL Cup. He has contributed 15 goals and nine assists in 105 overall matches for his club since leaving Real Madrid in a £70 million deal in 2022.

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim defends 23-year-old after latest 2-0 home loss

Earlier this Monday (December 30), Joshua Zirkzee was on the receiving end of boos from his fans during Manchester United's 2-0 home league loss to Newcastle United. The 23-year-old was replaced by Kobbie Mainoo in the 33rd minute.

Opining on Zirkzee's substitution, Ruben Amorim said (h/t Tribal Football):

"You have to think about the team. The player is suffering during the game. We needed another midfielder. It was tough on me to do that, I talked with Joshua on that. I'm always thinking about the team. At that moment, it was important for him to come out."

Amorim, who replaced Erik ten Hag in the dugout last month, added:

"I know that Josh is a really good guy. When he went to the tunnel, I can understand that some guys can be in a bad way but he is a really good lad. It is life, and we will support Josh and continue. Newcastle were better than Manchester United, they weren't better than Josh."

Zirkzee, 23, has registered four goals and two assists in 27 total games for Manchester United since leaving Bologna for £36 million in the summer.
