Manchester United are reportedly tempted to sell Diogo Dalot to Real Madrid this January in order to rope in two new players. According to a report from iNews, the Spanish giants are preparing a £50 million bid for the Portugal international (via United in Focus).
This would be a significant loss if the Red Devils were to let go of Dalot, with Real Madrid looking for a new right-back at the moment. Dani Carvajal is out for an extended period due to injury, which has increased the need for a full-back at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Dalot has proved to be a versatile player at Old Trafford, playing at right-back and deputising on the opposite flank when needed. However, the defender himself may be tempted to move to Real Madrid if the offer comes his way.
According to the aforementioned report, Manchester United are looking to use these funds to sign the likes of Viktor Gyokeres and Geovany Quenda. The first of these two players has been on fire this campaign for Sporting, having netted 16 times in 12 Liga Portugal outings.
However, a signing for the Sweden international will not be easy, with other top sides like Arsenal and Manchester City also linked with a move for him. Additionally, he is set to cost about £63 million in the summer of 2025.
The second of the two players on Manchester United's radar is Quenda, the 17-year-old winger who also worked with Amorim while the latter was at Sporting. He's contributed two goals and assists each across competitions this year.
Viktor Gyokeres could move to new club in January, amid interest from Arsenal and Manchester United - Reports
Manchester United and Arsenal-linked Viktor Gyokeres could leave Sporting in January, according to a recent report from The Athletic (via Sky Sports). While a move in the winter isn't guaranteed, it is strongly believed that the striker will leave his Portuguese employers at the end of the season.
At the moment, Gyokeres is set to face serious competition at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils possessing options in the number nine position. Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund are currently competing with each other for minutes under new manager Ruben Amorim.
On the other hand, the Gunners are without an out-and-out number nine, with Kai Havertz leading the line at the Emirates. Moreover, the second choice in the position, Gabriel Jesus, hasn't lived up to expectations, thereby creating a real opportunity for Gyokeres to become the first pick.
