Arsenal's Aaron Ramsdale and Liverpool's Caoimhin Kelleher are reportedly on Wolverhampton Wanderers' radar as they look to replace Jose Sa.
According to The Sun (via TEAMTalk), Sa, 31, could be on his way to the Saudi Pro League this summer. Wolves could look to cash in on the Portuguese goalkeeper who's been at Molineaux since July 2021.
Gary O'Neil will need to find a replacement if Sa does depart and Arsenal shot-stopper Ramsdale is an option. The England international has dropped down the pecking order at the Emirates.
Ramsdale, 25, has lost his place as Mikel Arteta's No.1 to loanee David Raya this season. He's been the Gunners' cup competition goalkeeper and kept three clean sheets in 11 games across competitions.
The former Sheffield United man has two years left on his contract. It's unlikely that he'll reclaim his spot from Raya as Arsenal are expected to trigger the £27 million buy option to sign him permanently from Brentford.
However, Ramsdale isn't the only Premier League goalkeeper seemingly under consideration. Wolves also hold an interest in Liverpool No.2 Kelleher who has impressed during Alisson Becker's absence this season.
Kelleher, 25, has kept five clean sheets in 26 games across competitions. He was a standout performer in the Merseysiders' 1-0 win (a.e.t) against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final (February 25).
The Republic of Ireland international also has two years on his contract. His stock is growing at Anfield and Jurgen Klopp feels he's one of Europe's best No.2's.
Arsenal's Ramsdale hailed Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold as 'the most competitive' person he's met
Ramsdale continues to be called up to represent England despite his lack of game time at Arsenal. He's earned four caps to date, keeping two clean sheets.
One player who he's spent the majority of his international career alongside is Liverpool vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold. They linked up at youth level and have been in Gareth Southgate's squad over the past few years.
Ramsdale expressed his admiration for Alexander-Arnold in an interview two years ago. The Gunners goalkeeper talked up his longtime teammate's competitive streak (via The Mirror):
"(He's) So aggressive. He is the most competitive person I have ever met in my life. FIFA, two touch. I would take his technique any day of the week."
Alexander-Arnold, 25, has flourished for Liverpool this season despite several injury issues. He's appeared 31 times across competitions, registering two goals and nine assists.
The English right-back has played a key role in helping Klopp's side challenge for the Premier League title. He's also shown maturity since being appointed vice-captain last summer.
