Premier League giants Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Real Madrid youngster Arda Guler in the summer transfer window.

According to TeamTalk, the Reds' new boss, Arne Slot, will be willing to make a move if the player becomes available in the summer. This would be a huge move for the Merseysiders, as the Turkey international is considered one of the top young talents going around Europe.

However, Guler only arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2023 for a reported initial fee of €20 million. Since then, he's found it hard to get a consistent run in the team under Carlo Ancelotti, making just 13 appearances across competitions and bagging seven goals.

Guler, who primarily plays as a number 10, can also occupy wide spaces if needed. At the moment, Liverpool are without a creative midfielder, and the Los Blancos man may be the answer to this question.

Neither Alexis Mac Allister, Curtis Jones, nor Dominik Szoboszlai, who usually start in the Reds' midfield, can play this role. Therefore, Guler could really cement a position for himself if he decides to move to Anfield.

Currently, the youngster is contracted at Real Madrid till the summer of 2029, which means it would take a hefty amount for Liverpool to complete a deal for him. At the moment, Guler is representing Turkey at Euro 2024, where he bagged a stunning long-range goal in his country's 3-1 win over Georgia on June 18.

He will next be in action for the Turks when they face Portugal in a group game tomorrow (June 22).

Real Madrid are reportedly considering to loan out Arda Guler in the summer transfer window in order to give the Turkish midfielder more minutes. According to Radio MARCA, Real Sociedad is the destination being discussed for the 19-year-old (via Football Espana).

This would be a huge blow for Liverpool, who are seemingly ready to sign the player on a permanent deal in the ongoing transfer window. Los Blancos are said to be thinking about this approach due to the limited game time Guler may see following Kylian Mbappe's arrival.

A loan deal with La Real has worked in the past for Real Madrid, with players like Arsenal's captain Martin Odegaard. Guler will most likely have to step away from Santiago Bernabeu, be it temporarily or otherwise, in search of regular game time.
