Premier League club Brentford have reportedly slapped a £40 million price tag on Bryan Mbeumo, who has attracted interest from Liverpool and Arsenal. The Cameroon international joined the club in 2019 from Troyes and is contracted with the Bees until 2026.

Mbeumo has been a vital part of Brentford's lineup in recent years. Last season, he played 25 Premier League games, scoring nine goals and providing six assists. He has started the 2024-25 season in brilliant form, scoring three goals in three league games.

Given his consistent output in front of goal, a number of Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on the forward. According to Football Insider (via Caught Offside), Arsenal and Liverpool are among the clubs interested in the Cameroonian.

However, he will not leave Brentford for cheap, with the Bees unwilling to let the forward go after striker Ivan Toney's recent exit to Al-Ahli. During the summer, they rejected an offer from Nottingham Forest worth £25 million.

Brentford will reportedly accept nothing less than £40 million for Mbeumo, which is a feasible sum for English giants like Arsenal and Liverpool. However, they will have to wait a full year, as the Bees expect to keep Mbuemo throughout this season, rather than sell him in January.

Arsenal and Liverpool dealt transfer blow after Aurelien Tchouameni makes decision to stay at Real Madrid

While a battle could yet be fought for Bryan Mbuemo's signature, the Brentford forward is not the only player on Arsenal and Liverpool's radars. The Premier League giants are also reportedly keeping their eyes on Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.

However, the two clubs have been dealt a transfer blow, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano stating that the Frenchman has no intentions of leaving the Santiago Bernabeu. Romano said on the Here We Go podcast (via 90min):

"Many people raised rumours about Liverpool, Arsenal, Tchouameni in 2025. I wanted to clarify something for 2024, 2025, 2026, whenever. The intention of Aurelien Tchouameni is to stay in Real Madrid... In terms of concrete possibilities for him to leave Madrid – at the moment, zero."

With Tchouameni not interested in an exit, his suitors will have to look elsewhere for other options, as they continue their hunt for midfield reinforcements next summer.
