Liverpool ace Trent Alexander-Arnold is on the radar of Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), as per Real Madrid Confidencial (via Madrid Universal). The future of the England international has been a major talking point as he has in the final six months of his contract with the club.
Real Madrid are long-time admirers of Alexander-Arnold, with many at the club believing he is the right player to replace Dani Carvajal in the long term. Los Blancos remain keen on the 26-year-old and have been tempted by the possibility of signing him as a free agent next summer.
The report from Real Madrid Confidencial, however, has now claimed that Los Blancos are not the only side interested in the talented right-back. According to the report, all three of Manchester City, Barcelona, and PSG are also monitoring the player's situation.
Trent Alexander-Arnold has been their #1 right-back over the years, but the emergence of Conor Bradley in the 2023-24 season has given the club another option. While they are unwilling to lose Alexander-Arnold and have made an extension offer, Bradley's emergence means they are well-equipped to deal with a potential exit.
Manchester City may look to tempt Alexander-Arnold to join them as the long-term replacement for the ageing Kyle Walker at right-back. For PSG, it is a case of wanting to have multiple quality options in the position, seeing as Achraf Hakimi is still on the books of the French club. Barcelona are keen to take advantage of a potential free agent, given their financial constraints with respect to transfer funds.
Alexander-Arnold will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with Real Madrid , Barcelona, or PSG as from January 1, 2025, if he decides to move. If he chooses to remain in England with City, however, a move can only be confirmed after his contract expires in June.
