Real Madrid plot surprise move for former Chelsea star

Real Madrid are reportedly considering a move for former Chelsea superstar N’Golo Kante amid uncertainty over Aurelien Tchouameni's future. As claimed by Real Madrid Confidencial (via Madrid Universal), Los Blancos want the experienced midfielder to replace Tchouameni if the latter leaves.

Tchouameni established himself as a key player for Los Blancos following his reported €100 million switch from AS Monaco in 2022. However, his stock has somewhat fallen this season, with the Frenchman not being at his absolute best.

The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with an exit from the Santiago Bernabeu next summer and Real Madrid reportedly want Tchouameni's compatriot N’Golo Kante as his replacement.

Los Blancos are understood to be hugely keen on Kante because of his immense experience at the highest level. The veteran French midfielder is currently on the books of Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad and is understood to be keen on returning to Europe.

The 33-year-old boasts plenty of experience at the highest level for both club and country and has also won plenty of silverware. He won the Premier League and the Champions League while also helping France clinch the FIFA World Cup in 2018.

Los Blancos reportedly believe that Kante would be a solid addition to their squad thanks to his quality, experience and leadership. Although Kante is 33, he is still pretty much in his prime and has been impressive for Al-Ittihad this season. He has scored twice and provided one assist in 13 appearances this season.

Real Madrid want Liverpool star alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold in 2025 - Reports

Real Madrid reportedly want Liverpool skipper Virgil van Dijk next summer alongside their vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold. As reported by Marca (via Football Transfers), Los Blancos want both Liverpool stars on free transfers.

The Reds have been in sensational form this season but face the prospect of losing three of their key players for nothing next summer. Alexander-Arnold and van Dijk both have their current deals expiring at Anfield alongside star attacker Mohamed Salah.

Van Dijk joined Liverpool from Southampton in January 2018 in a reported £75 million deal, which was then the world record fee for a defender. The Dutchman has been instrumental in the Reds' success over the years, having made 291 appearances and winning eight trophies.

Alexander-Arnold has also been a key figure for Liverpool over the years, making 330 appearances and producing 19 goals and 84 assists. The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent months.
