Real Madrid are reportedly ready to offer Rodrygo to Arsenal in a swap deal to land William Saliba. As reported by Football Transfers via TBR Football, Los Blancos are huge admirers of the Frenchman and are prepared to lose Rodrygo to secure the defender's services.
Saliba is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in the world right now and is one of the most important players at Arsenal. Along with Gabriel Magalhaes, the 23-year-old has forged a strong partnership which is arguably the best centre-back duo in the Premier League.
The Gunners signed Saliba back in 2019 from Saint-Etienne but the defender had to wait till 2022 to debut for the north London giants. He has never looked back since having played a key role in Arsenal's title pursuit in the last two seasons.
Capped 23 times for France, Saliba has so far made 89 appearances for the Gunners to date. He is currently contracted at the Emirates until the summer of 2027 but the club are reportedly desperate to tie him down with a new long-term deal.
Real Madrid are reportedly looking to solidify their backline in the long term with the addition of Saliba. They are even willing to sacrifice Rodrygo in order to secure the defender's signature.
Rodrygo has become a key player for Real Madrid since joining the club in 2019 in a deal worth a reported €45 million from Santos. The versatile attacker has scored 56 goals and provided 43 assists in 224 games for the Spanish capital club winning 12 trophies.
