Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham could reportedly get his contract adjusted to earn as much as his attacking cohorts, Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe. Joined on a €103 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund in 2023, Bellingham has proved to be a valuable addition to Los Blancos squad.
He scored 23 goals and provided 13 assists in 43 games last season to help his side to the LaLiga and Champions League double, while also picking up the Spanish Supercup.
Although his form dropped at the start of the 2024-25 campaign, the Englishman appears to have returned to his best lately and now boasts seven goals and six assists from 21 games in all competitions.
Amid the surge in fortunes, Real Madrid are reportedly set to reward Bellingham for the same, with a contract adjustment that promises a pay raise, according to Spanish news outlet AS.
Vinicius is currently the highest-earning player in the squad, with €20 million per season for the last two years of his contract. Summer signing Mbappe gets around €15 million per season net base salary. Meanwhile, Bellingham makes €9 million per season.
However, given the 21-year-old's significant impact in such a short period, Madrid may seemingly renegotiate his contract. In the meantime, talks are reportedly set to begin to extend Vinicius' contract extension. His current one runs until 2027.
The Brazilian has been a key player for the side in Carlo Ancelotti's second term, having struggled to find his best previously. His numbers have exponentially increased, scoring 22, 23, and 25 goals in the last three seasons under the Italian. Moreover, the winger's remarkable tally includes a goal each in two Champions League finals — against Liverpool in 2022 and Borussia Dortmund in 2024.
Bellingham, Vinicius and Mbappe combine to sparkle Real Madrid's attack
Real Madrid's fascinating attacking triumvirate of Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior, and Kylian Mbappe is currently leading their title aspirations, and all of them are seemingly in great form.
They have a combined 35 goals in all competitions for the side, including 24 in LaLiga, where the title holders trail Atletico Madrid in second place by just a point. Although their Champions League campaign has been disappointing, the trio have stepped up in key moments.
As long as they keep firing on all cylinders, the Whites will stand a chance of picking up some more trophies along the way, while forging an incredible attacking partnership.
