Real Madrid have reportedly suffered a massive blow in their pursuit of Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies. The Canada international was seemingly destined to leave the Allianz Arena once his contract expired in the summer of 2025.

However, MARCA now report that the left-back has already reached an agreement with the Bavarian outfit over a new deal. A large part of the reason behind this is the massive offer made by Bayern Munich, which will make Davies the second highest-paid player at the club, only behind Harry Kane.

It is believed that the proposal made by the LaLiga giants falls short of what the German outfit after offering. This could be a massive dent in Real Madrid's plans for the future, especially in the left-back position.

At the moment, Carlo Ancelotti deploys French defender Ferland Mendy in this role, whose contract at the Santiago Bernabeu also runs out in the summer. Therefore, Los Blancos will have to pick out suitable alternatives, with Fran Garcia as the only other option at the club.

That being said, Davies would have been the perfect pick in this position, given his ability and vast experience playing at the highest level. To date, he's made 217 appearances across competitions for Bayern Munich, bagging 12 goals and 24 assists.

The 24-year-old defender has managed to win the Bundesliga title on five occasions and the UEFA Champions League trophy once, among other honors at the club.

Manchester United and Real Madrid have reportedly faced a major setback in their pursuit of AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez. According to a report from Calciomercato, the Rossoneri are close to sealing a new deal with their defender, which will keep him at San Siro till the summer of 2029 (via GOAL).

There may have been some panic among Milan fans, with the France international's current agreement expiring in the summer of 2026. This meant that the Serie A side were under pressure to sell Hernandez at some point in 2025 in order to secure a handsome transfer fee.

However, it seems as though that situation will not arise because of a new agreement through which the defender will earn €6.5 million a year. To date, he's made 236 appearances across competitions for AC Milan, bagging 32 goals and 42 assists.
