Real Madrid's game against Valencia this weekend in LaLiga was postponed due to floods in Spain. Carlo Ancelotti's team are placed second in the league table after 11 games.

Meanwhile, Los Blancos are the favorites to sign Alphonso Davies next year. Elsewhere, the Spanish champions have entered the race to sign a Chelsea midfielder.

On that note, let's look at the major Real Madrid transfer stories from November 2, 2024.

Real Madrid are leading the race to sign Alphonso Davies in 2025, according to Bundesliga insider Christian Falk. The Canadian left-back has entered the final year of his contract with Bayern Munich and hasn't signed a new deal yet.

Los Blancos have apparently identified Davies as a target and want to sign him for free next summer. However, recent reports have suggested that Manchester United are also interested in the 23-year-old's services.

In his column for Caught Offside, however, Falk insisted that the LaLiga giants are head of the Red Devils in the race for Davies.

“Manchester United have a chance, but he’s not really cheap. Davies wants a minimum of €15m a season and a sign-on fee of around the same amount. I’m not sure if United are willing to pay this money," wrote Falk.

He continued:

"You see when they brought in Noussair Mazraoui he was a really cheap option. I know that their first option would have been Jeremie Frimpong but he was too expensive (with a release clause of €40m for United). I’m not sure if they want to spend so much money on a left-back."

He concluded:

“Real Madrid really want Davies, so if United want to get concrete they have to pay this money. I wonder if other positions might very well be more important for the club. Alphonso Davies, I think, would be open to the move, but Real Madrid are a little bit closer.”

Davies could be an upgrade on Ferland Mendy at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Los Blancos eyeing Enzo Fernandez

Real Madrid have set their sights on Enzo Fernandez, according to Fichajes. The Argentinian midfielder is going through personal problems, having decided to split with his wife.

The player has been a first team regular under Enzo Maresca at Chelsea this season, registering 12 appearances across competitions, nine of which have been starts. His efforts have convinced Los Blancos, who are on the hunt for midfield reinforcements.

Aurelien Tchouameni has failed to live up to expectations and the LaLiga giants are now ready to include him in a deal for Fernandez. While the Blues are not actively looking to offload the 23-year-old, the opportunity to sign Tchouameni could turn their head.

Trent Alexander-Arnold wants Santiago Bernabeu move, says former CEO

Trent Alexander-Arnold has already decided to move to the Santiago Bernabeu, according to former Everton CEO Keith Wyness. The English right-back is in the final year of his contract with Liverpool and is wanted at Real Madrid.

Los Blancos are laying down succession plans for Dani Carvajal, who is on the wrong side of 30. They have set their sights on Alexander-Arnold, although the Reds remain keen to keep the 26-year-old at Anfield.

However, speaking on the Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that the player may have already decided his next move.

“My own gut feeling is that Trent has decided Real Madrid is a very appealing opportunity. He’ll go overseas as a young player after seeing the success that others have had with a fantastic lifestyle," Wyness.

He continued:

“I remember selling Thomas Gravesen to Real Madrid – he said it was 85% show business and 15% football. There’s an appeal unique to Madrid for younger players. To have that on your CV when you retire, it’s hard to give up that opportunity.”

Alexander-Arnold has appeared 12 times across competitions this season under Arne Slot, registering two assists.
