Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is reportedly keen on signing Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star Randal Kolo Muani amid Chelsea and Arsenal interest. The Frenchman is reportedly keen on moving to the Premier League and wants to play in the UEFA Champions League.
Kolo Muani joined PSG in September 2023 from Eintracht Frankfurt for a reported €80 million plus bonuses. In overall 54 outings for PSG, the Frenchman has contributed 11 goals and seven assists across competitions. His current contract runs until 2028. However, the Ligue 1 giants are reportedly keen on revamping their squad ahead of the January transfer window, which includes the potential sale of the striker.
According to reports by TEAMTalk, Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim wants the club to secure the signing of Randal Kolo Muani in the winter transfer window. Amorim reportedly wants more options in the Red Devils' attack, and Kolo Muani is one of the more affordable options.
However, the aforementioned report suggests that Manchester United will face competition from Chelsea and Arsenal in the potential signing of Kolo Muani. The Blues have reportedly made contact with PSG to enquire about the conditions of a potential deal. Kolo Muani's versatility as an attacker has pleased Chelsea as they look to improve their squad.
Moreover, Arsenal have also shown interest in signing the Frenchman in January. The report suggests that Mikel Arteta is keen to secure the services of another striker who can compete with Kai Havertz, making Kolo Muani a decent option. The Frenchman is exploring his options for now with PSG keen on offloading him this winter.
Manchester United and Arsenal keeping tabs on Barcelona star Dani Olmo: Reports
According to The Mail (via Express UK), Manchester United and Arsenal are keeping their tabs on Barcelona star Dani Olmo ahead of the January transfer window. Olmo's current situation at Barca is complicated as the court recently gave a verdict against the Spaniard's registration in LaLiga.
Olmo moved to Barcelona from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2024 for a reported €60 million. However, he was only registered for the first half of the season owing to a long-term injury of defender Andreas Christensen. However, the Denmark international is nearing his return and Barca are yet to find a way to register Olmo for the latter half of the season.
If Barcelona does not sort out Dani Olmo's registration by the deadline of December 31, the Spaniard can leave as a free agent in January. The aforementioned report suggests that Olmo's agent Andy Bara recently flew to Manchester to allegedly explore potential destinations for the Spaniard in the Premier League.
Manchester United and Arsenal are among the interested parties, with both sides seeking to reinforce their squad in the winter transfer window. Arsenal have reportedly maintained regular contact with Olmo's agents. Olmo could also be a good signing for Manchester United owing to his versatility and ability to make an impact both in the attack and the midfield.
The aforementioned report indicates that Dani Olmo is still keen on succeeding at Barcelona and sorting out his registration problem. However, the Spain international may have to consider his options if the Catalans are unable to sort out the issue soon.
