Saudi Pro League clubs are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey in the summer transfer window. As per CaughtOffside, the Public Investment Fund wish to negotiate personal terms with the Ghana international this summer.
It comes as no surprise that Saudi Arabian clubs wish to bring Partey to their country after expressing an interest in him last summer. Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli are said to have tabled lucrative offers last time around, amid interest from Juventus as well.
The former Atletico Madrid man decided to remain at the Emirates for another season. However, it seems as though Partey's time in north London is coming to an end with only a year left on his contract.
Moreover, keeping the 31-year-old could be risky given his injury issues from the previous campaign. Partey missed nearly the entire season due to hamstring and groin problems. In total, he was absent for 34 matches for club and country during the 2023/24 season.
Arsenal are said to be willing to sell the player, and they will not be short of suitors in the ongoing transfer window. Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have also been credited with interest in the midfielder, thereby increasing the competition for Partey's services.
To date, he's made 115 appearances for the Gunners across competitions, bagging five goals and four assists. His only trophy with Arsenal was their Community Shield success from the 2023/24 campaign.
Arsenal have enquired about the possibility of signing Everton star to replace Thomas Partey - Reports
Arsenal are reportedly looking to replace Thomas Partey this summer, with the club well aware of the possibility that the Ghanian could be on his way out. As a result, they're said to be looking at Everton and Belgium midfielder Amadou Onana.
The news comes from Liverpool Echo journalist Joe Thomas, who shared an update on the situation on his X account (formerly Twitter). He wrote about the 22-year-old:
"Arsenal have enquired about the availability of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana. More to follow."
Onana has impressed with the Toffees this season in the number six position, having made 30 Premier League appearances and bagging two goals. However, he still has three years left on his deal at Goodison Park, meaning it would cost the Gunners a fair sum to sign him this summer.
Currently, Onana is on international duty with Belgium at Euro 2024, where his team will gear up for Round of 16 action against France (July 1).
