Serie A side Inter Milan are reportedly looking to sign Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr teammate Sadio Mane. According to fichajes.net, the Nerazzurri believe that the Senegal international has more to offer to European football despite being 32 years old.
The former Liverpool winger joined his Saudi Arabian employers in the summer of 2023 from Bayern Munich for a reported fee of €30 million. Since then, the attacker has made 68 appearances across competitions for Al-Nassr, bagging 24 goals and 16 assists.
Mane is contracted with the Riyadh-based side only till the summer of 2026, which may prompt the side to sell him in 2025. They may not wish for the winger to leave on a free after his contract runs out in 2026.
Additionally, Mane could be a useful resource who can play as one of the two forwards in Simone Inzaghi's system. The likes of Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram and Mehdi Taremi share the burden up top. He could also play out wide if needed.
Of course, Mane possesses an abundance of experience in competing in major competitions across Europe. The most notable spell of his career came at Anfield, where he made 269 appearances across competitions for Liverpool, bagging 120 goals and 42 assists.
The ex-Southampton man won the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League once each with the Merseysiders. He then went on to claim the Bundesliga title at Bayern Munich.
Joining Inter will be an exciting prospect, with the team placed third in Serie A, four points behind leaders Napoli with a game in hand. They're also second in the UEFA Champions League table and are yet to concede a goal in the competition.
Cristiano Ronaldo set to continue at Al-Nassr beyond 2025 amid exit talks - Reports
Cristiano Ronaldo will reportedly sign a new deal with Al-Nassr beyond 2025, which is when the Portuguese star's current deal expires. In recent weeks, the 39-year-old has been linked with a surprise move to Turkish outfit Fenerbahce.
However, Fabrizio Romano has clarified that these rumors aren't true and that Ronaldo's contract talks with Al-Nassr will be negotiated soon (via GOAL). The former Manchester United striker joined the club in January 2023 when he was a free agent.
Since then, he's made 82 appearances across competitions for his Saudi Arabian employers, bagging 73 goals and 18 assists. A contract renewal beyond 2025 could potentially see Ronaldo participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
