According to The Telegraph, Sir Alex Ferguson believes Marcus Rashford is still one of the best players at Manchester United amid the Englishman's poor run of form. The winger produced a 30-goal season in 2022-23 - his career best - but has since failed to hit those heights for the Red Devils.

Rashford scored seven goals in 33 Premier League games last season and has four in 15 league games in the ongoing campaign. According to Florian Plettenberg, the Red Devils could sell the English forward in the upcoming January transfer window.

According to The Telegraph (via Team Talk), Sir Alex Ferguson, who won 38 trophies with Manchester United, believes Rashford still has a lot to offer. Ferguson reportedly views Rashford as the best player at Old Trafford.

The legendary United manager reportedly believes constant managerial changes have stunted Rashford's development as a footballer.

It is worth noting that the 27-year-old broke into the Manchester United first team and made his debut in February 2016 under Louis van Gaal. Since then, he has played under Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Michael Carrick, Ralf Rangnick, Erik ten Hag, Ruud van Nistelrooy, and now, Ruben Amorim.

Rashford's future now seems uncertain amid rumors that the club is prepared to let him leave. He was also left out of the squad for their Manchester derby against Manchester City on December 15 at the Etihad Stadium.

Former Manchester United midfielder tells Marcus Rashford to leave if he doesn't "enjoy it at the club"

Former Manchester United midfielder Gordon Strachan has told Marcus Rashford that he can leave Old Trafford if he no longer enjoys his football there. This comes amidst rumors that an exit could be on the cards for the Mancunian-born winger.

Strachan told Gambling Zone in an interview (via Football 365):

"Well, that’s one of the problems that Man United have – we’ve just got to hold our breath for Marcus Rashford to play well."
"And we’ve just got to go through this again every season where we’ve got to hope Marcus gets better. ‘I hope he starts smiling and I hope he starts enjoying the game.’ Do me a favour. If you don’t enjoy it at the club, leave. Just leave and then we can all get on with it. You’re a good footballer, son."

Marcus Rashford will have to work hard to return to the good graces of new head coach Ruben Amorim if he is to return to the starting lineup. The Englishman has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 24 appearances across competitions this seasons.
