The real reason behind Ruben Amorim's decision to drop Marcus Rashford from his Manchester United squad has reportedly come to light. As per Metro, the England international was out in Manchester on the Friday before their game with Everton on Sunday, November 1.

Rashford scored twice for Manchester United in that game as they secured a 4-0 win at Old Trafford against the Toffees. It was Amorim's first win in the Premier League but the manager was not pleased when he found out about Rashford being out.

Incidentally, this is not the first time Rashford has landed himself in trouble for a similar occurrence. In January 2024, he was caught partying in a Belfast nightclub and was fined two weeks' wages.

Amorim opted not to name Rashford in four successive matchday squads since finding out regarding Rashford's absence. He returned to the bench in the Red Devils' 2-0 defeat against Newcastle United but was an unused substitute.

Rashford has clearly fallen down the pecking order under Ruben Amorim and is understood to be open to an exit from Old Trafford. The 27-year-old is reportedly seeking a new challenge and has offers from Saudi Arabia.

Despite interest from the Middle East, the forward is reportedly keen on staying in Europe and a move to Spain appeals to him. At the moment, however, only Serie A giants Napoli are said to be monitoring Rashford's situation.

Ruben Amorim has revealed that Rashford is likely to miss the Red Devils' trip to Anfield to face Liverpool with illness. The attacker has scored seven goals and produced three assists in 24 games across competitions for Manchester United this season.

Manchester United star eyeing a move to Serie A: Reports

Manchester United attacker Joshua Zirkzee is reportedly eyeing a move back to Italy in January. As claimed by Gianluca di Marzio (via The Peoples Person), Zirkzee's agent Kia Joorabchian has already agreed terms with Juventus.

Zirkzee has had a forgettable start to life at Old Trafford following his reported £36.5 million move from Bologna last summer. The Dutchman has scored just four times and provided two assists in 27 appearances for the Red Devils so far this campaign.

The striker was notably hauled off in the 33rd minute by Ruben Amorim as his side lost 2-0 against Newcastle United in their last outing. Zirkzee is understood to be eyeing a move to Juventus where he will link up with Thiago Motta who got the best out of him at Bologna.

Manchester United are only willing to sell Zirkzee or loan him out if there is an obligation to buy. However, Juventus are only willing to loan him in without a mandatory buying clause.
