If reports are to be believed, Arsenal are close to signing Barcelona winger Pedro in a £24 million deal.

Pedro has struggled to become a first team regular during his time at Barcelona, and is now said to be weighing up his options as he looks to play regularly.

The versatile forward has been in good form this season, scoring 11 goals in 17 appearances for the Catalans. However, with Lionel Messi back from injury, the Spanish international is likely to find himself on the bench again.

The 26-year old has been on the radar of several top European clubs, as they too monitor the developments at Nou Camp.

Arsene Wenger is keen to add to his attacking options after injuries to Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott and Niklas Bendtner. The Frenchman is left with no recognised striker, and will be desperate to dip into the market and bag his target.

The Tenerife born winger, along with Mesut Ozil, could become the second high profile signing at the Emirates this season, as the Gunners look to make a statement of intent and vie for the Premier League.
