Arsenal are looking to bid for Hamburg starlet Hakan Calhanoglu, says the player’s representative.
The player’s agent Bektas Demirtas says the player wants to stay at Hamburg despite interest from Arsenal.
“We know of Arsenal’s interest. I think they will make a concrete move in December or January. Hakan and Hamburg has been a success story – our wish is that he stays here and continues to evolve,” he said to reporters.
The midfielder, who started out at Karlsruher,has been one of the breakthrough performers in the Bundesliga this term, scoring four times in 14 league appearances.
The youngster is dubbed as the “New Mesut Ozil”, has already made international appearance for Turkey and is being linked with a move to England with Premier League clubs Arsenal and Liverpool.
Calhanoglu’s contract expires in 2016.
