Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has reportedly held talks with Inter Milan and Galatasaray about a summer transfer even as talks of a new contract at Arsenal continue to stall.
Sagna, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is believed to have asked for a new 3-year deal at the London club with a $100,000 a week wages. Arsenal have so far refused to meet those terms even as Italian giants Inter Milan and Turkish club Galatasaray look to secure the services of the 31-year old.
Inter, under the new ownership, have already made a statement of intent by signing Manchester United skipper Nemanja Vidic and could offer Sagna a bumper deal to lure him to the San Siro. Galatasaray boss Roberto Mancini is also believed to be an admirer of the Frenchman and could be looking to make a useful addition.
Arsenal themselves, however, have not given up hope and are reportedly trying to get the right back to sign a new deal with a big signing-on fee and $80,000 a week wages.
Although Sagna is free to open talks with other clubs, he still has over two months and probably till after the summer World Cup to take a call on his future.
