Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta looks on.

Arsenal are reportedly looking to extend attacker Gabriel Magalhaes' stay at the club. The 26-year-old is contracted to the Emirates till 2027 but has attracted attention from multiple clubs.

Gabriel has been a solid performer for the Gunners since his arrival from Lille in the summer of 2020. In 172 games across competitions, he has contributed 16 goals and an assist.

The centre-back netted his most recent strike for Mikel Arteta's side in the 1-0 Premier League win at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. The win took the Gunners to within two points of leaders Manchester City (12) after four games.

Meanwhile, the Gunners have taken steps to keep Gabriel's prospective suitors at bay. As per TBR Football (via Caught Offside), they have commenced discussions to extend his stay at the club, with Ligue 1 giants PSG reportedly sending scouts to watch the player in action at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the weekend.

This season, Gabriel has played every minute of all four Premier League games for the Gunners, helping his side keep three clean sheets and scoring once himself.

Arsenal have made a good start to the new season.

Arsenal commenced their quest for a first Premier League title in 21 years with a 2-0 home win over Wolverhampton Wanderers. Attackers Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka scored and assisted apiece in the win.

Next, the Gunners won 2-0 at Aston Villa - with Leandro Trossard and Thomas Partey getting on the scoresheet - as Mikel Arteta's side won the opening two league games of a campaign without conceding for the first time in 52 years.

The Gunners' perfect start to the season ended with a 1-1 home draw with Brighton & Hove Albion, where Declan Rice saw a controversial red. However, Arteta's side bounced back to winning ways with a narrow win in the season's first North London derby.

Next, they take visit reigning UEFA Europa League winners Atalanta in their UEFA Champions League opener on Thursday. The Gunners reached their first quarter-final in the competition in more than a decade last season, losing 3-2 on aggregate to Bayern Munich.

Following the Atalanta game, the Gunners face a daunting trip to four-time defending champions Manchester City in the Premier League three days later. Mikel Arteta's side drew this fixture goalless at the Etihad last season and won 1-0 at the Emirates against Pep Guardiola's serial champions.
