French international Mathieu Valbuena has admitted that he wants to leave Marseille for a new challenge abroad.
Valbuena, who is being linked with a move to Arsenal and Liverpool stated, “I never hide that a new challenge abroad would attract me.”
“I am an Olympique Marseille player so far and I am proud of it. I am here for quite a long time. Maybe it will be the right moment to go and see something else. But it is a bit too early to talk about that. I want to do my very best in coming months to be ready for the World Cup. It could also be a good springboard.”
The midfielder went on to add, “Premier League and Bundesliga are much exciting. But I like Italy and Spain too.”
Valbuena is 29 years old now which might go against him as some of the top Premier League clubs want players with a resale value.
Newcastle United, who have a host of French players in their squad, are also being linked with the Frenchman.
