Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has reportedly emerged as the shock transfer target for mid-table club Aston Villa, who are all set to raise their ambitions this summer by pursuing a couple of high profile players for the next EPL season.
The 25- year old Mexican international and Spurs midfielder Lewis Holtby (currently on loan at Fulham) are two of the major targets for the Villa coach Paul Lambert who will be looking to straighten the side who has not been able to meet their expectations this season.
Hernandez has mainly been used as an effective substitute at Old Trafford and the limited playing time can be the main reason behind his departure, as he will be guaranteed first team football at Villa who are already missing their star striker Christian Benteke until October because of an Achilles injury.
Hernandez has scored 59 goals in his 150 appearances for the United outfit after joining in 2010 and will be a major buy for Villa in their fight for superiority.
