According to journalist Roger Torello, Barcelona sporting director Deco wants to finalise three departures during the summer transfer window. Vitor Roque, Clement Lenglet and Mikayil Faye are the players the club are looking to sell.
Roque joined the club in January and scored twice in the second half of the 2023-24 season. However, his level was questioned, and the player was pushed to the sidelines by former boss Xavi.
Hansi Flick's arrival hasn't changed Roque's fortunes. The club haven't registered Roque for La Liga, and his number 19 shirt number has been taken by Lamine Yamal. Roque might not get a kit number and is expected to leave.
Clement Lenglet, meanwhile, hasn't played for the club in the last two seasons. He spent loan stints at Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa and is expected to leave.
Atletico Madrid and Villarreal have been touted as potential destinations for Lenglet. Barca, though, see Los Rojiblancos as direct rivals and are reluctant to send Lenglet there. Lenglet has a deal with the Blaugrna till 2026.
Meanwhile, the 20-year-old Senegalese centre-back Mikayil Faye is also expected to leave. He has been a part of Barcelona's youth sides recently and impressed with his qualities.
Faye, though, is yet to make his senior debut. Barca boast Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, Jules Kounde and Pau Cubarsi in their ranks. Hence, Faye getting game time is unlikely, and the player is looking to move elsewhere to get first-team action.
Offloading players will also help address Barcelona's dire financial situation. As a result, theyare looking to reduce their wage bills.
Dani Olmo growing impatient to make Barcelona debut
As per SPORT, Dani Olmo is growing impatient to make his Barcelona debut after his summer move from RB Leipzig. The attacking midfielder is yet to be registered in Barca's La Liga squad.
He missed the 2-1 win against Valencia but is looking forward to make his debut in the next game against Athletic Bilbao on August 24. Olmo, a La Masia alumni, has made a return to his boyhood club.
Manager Hansi Flick, though, has said that Olmo started training late and was not in the needed physical shape to play against Valencia. Fans are keen to see the exciting star take the field, and the player is also raring to go. Barca spent a reported €62 million to sign Olmo.
