Barcelona are reportedly keen to snap up 15-year-old Mexican prodigy Gilberto Mora. The teenager made history recently with Club Tijuana, attracting the attention of top clubs from across the continent.

Mora scored in the 2-1 Liga MX win over Club Leon in August, becoming the youngest scorer in the Mexican top flight history at the age of just 15 years and 320 days.

TUDNMEX (via Football Espana) has reported that Barca have extended an invitation to the prodigy to train at their famed La Masia academy with the youth team. However, Barca Blaugranes has added that the La Liga giants need to secure Mora's parents' permission, as he's a minor.

As per the Barca Blaugranes report, Barca have made the offer to Mora so that he gets to "know the facilities at La Masía, become familiar with Barcelona’s identity and interact with members of the Catalan team’s youth team.”

Meanwhile, Barca have made a good start to the season under new boss Hansi Flick, winning their opening five La Liga games to go four points clear of second-placed Atletico Madrid (11), scoring a league-high 17 goals.

It's the Blaugrana's best start to a top-flight season in seven years and the fifth time this century that they have won their opening five league games. Only three other top-five league sides - Manchester City (Premier League), PSG (Ligue 1) and Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) - remain perfect after four, four and three games in their respective leagues.

Former Bayern Munich and Germany boss Hansi Flick has made a superb start to life at Barcelona. He started off with a 2-1 win at Valencia, a 2-1 home win over Athletic Bilbao and a 2-1 win at Rayo Vallecano.

The Blaugrana then thumped Real Valladolid 7-0 at home before winning 4-1 at Girona last weekend to go four clear at the top. The La Liga giants next open their UEFA Champions League campaign with a trip to Ligue 1 side Monaco on Thursday.

Barca's 17 goals in five league games make them the top scorers in Europe's top-five leagues, one ahead of PSG, who have a game in hand. It's the most they have scored at this stage of a season since firing 18 in the 1987-88 edition of La Liga.

The Blaugrana, though, finished a lowly sixth that season, a whopping 23 points behind winners Real Madrid at a time when each win was worth two points instead of the current three.
