Barcelona are reportedly making a final effort to register Dani Olmo after the court rejected their appeal and denied the Spaniard's registration. As per La Liga rules, Barca risk losing the services of Olmo for the rest of the season if they don't register him by December 31 this year.

They signed the 26-year-old from RB Leipzig in the summer for a reported €55 million. However, they couldn't register him for a full season because of financial constraints.

Due to defender Andreas Christensen's longstanding injury, La Liga allowed Barcelona to register Olmo for six months. However, that expires on December 31, and Barca are struggling to register him again for the rest of the season.

They had filed an appeal to Commercial Court No. 10 to secure a precautionary measure and complete Olmo's registration. However, it was denied by judge Ignacio Fernandez de Senespleda. According to BarcaTimes, the investigating court has also denied Barca's appeal to register Olmo.

The report says that the Blaugrana will sign an agreement with a Qatari fund dealing with the sale of tickets for VIP boxes at the renovated Camp Nou. As per Barca Universal, the deal could bring €100-120 million and enable the registration of Olmo. It will also help Barca return to La Liga's 1:1 rule.

As per DiarioSPORT, representatives from the Qatari fund have signed the deal. Therefore, it's just a matter of time before Barcelona president Laporta signs it, and Olmo gets the green light to become a first-team player for the rest of the season.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has urged the Gunners to make a move for Dani Olmo in the January transfer window amid his registration crisis at Barcelona.

Wright compared Dani Olmo with Martin Odegaard, who was signed by Arsenal after he struggled to get minutes at Real Madrid. The ex-Arsenal striker said:

"He’s got the vibe for me, Dani Olmo, that he needs a home. He needs a home, like how we gave Martin Odegaard. You need a home, Dani. Have you seen what’s happened with Martin Odegaard? He needs a home. Come to Arsenal. I’m telling you, you are exactly what we need, Dani."

Dani Olmo has been impressive for Hansi Flick's side since arriving in the summer. In 15 games across competitions, he has scored six goals and laid out one assist. He has been mostly used as a super-sub by the German tactician, averaging a game-time of 54.2 minutes per match for La Blaugrana.
