Marc-Andre ter Stegen of Borussia Mönchengladbach is close to a move to Barcelona and the deal could be completed in a few hours, reports Catalan paper Mundo Deportivo.
It has been said that a five-year contract has been settled between Barcelona and ter Stegen after sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta, gave the move his special attention.
Ter Stegen has already revealed that he will not be renewing his contract that expires in 2015, thus putting Gladbach in a dilemma - whether to retain him for another season and let him go for free, or sell him and get as much as possible.
Football Espana suggested Barcelona are looking to wait for Victor Valdes‘ announcement on where he will be playing next season.
The 21 year-old German, who already has 3 international caps to his name, has started 15 games for his club this season.
