Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have made Manchester City’s in-form striker Sergio Aguero their priority target next summer, according to the Sunday People.
Pep Guardiola is said to be a huge admirer of the Argentine’s talents and wants Bayern chiefs to secure his signature as their big money signing in the summer transfer window.
The Sunday People claims that Bayern are even prepared to offer Robert Lewandowski in exchange for the City hit-man, despite the fact he is yet to leave Borussia Dortmund for the Bavarian club.
Lewandowski is expected to confirm a free transfer to Bayern in January, but it seems that his future is already being used as a bargaining tool.
Aguero has been in sensational form for the Citizens, with eight goals and four assists from nine games so far this season, and is considered the perfect striker to feed off Bayern’s star-studded midfield.
Manchester City would of course demand a huge fee for the striker’s services – thought to be in the region of £40 million – but money will be no issue for the Germans.
Aguero’s lethality this season is underpinned by his sensational shot accuracy of 71 per cent, converting 33.3 per cent of all his shots.
