Dynamo Kiev midfielder Younes Belhanda has admitted that his aim is to join a Premier League club in the future, with Arsenal at the top of his list of preferred teams, report London 24.
The French born Moroccan international was linked to a number of English teams when he left Ligue 1 side Montpellier last summer before he opted to sign for Kiev.
However, he has refused to rule out his dream of playing in England’s top tier and clearly admires several of the division’s clubs for the attractive brand of football they employ.
“How long will I stay at Dynamo? I don’t know. If I have opportunities to go higher, I will seize them.
“I am dreaming about England. Every player wants to play in England one day. I have to experience that.
“My favourite club? Arsenal, of course. It is the club of Frenchmen. Newcastle as well, but they are a step below. Manchester City and Liverpool are exciting too.
“There are so many clubs with big histories. That is England,” he declared.
However, although Belhanda was a widely coveted talent last year there were strong accusations made against him that the main reason behind his move to the Ukrainian outfit was due to a lucrative contract, which he denies.
“My transfer to Kiev? I didn’t have any other offers, apart from Al-Jazira.
“People talked about Aston Villa and stated that I joined Kiev for money. If it was only for money, I would have joined Al-Jazira. They offered me double the wages I get in Kiev,” he insisted.
