Juan Mata and Kevin de Bruyne have been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid in January. The Chelsea duo are getting very limited action ever since Mourinho took up the reins at Stamford Bridge.
Kevin de Bruyne has not completed a full 90 minutes for Chelsea ever since his move from Genk in 2012.
Mata and Bruyne would be looking to move in order to boost their chances of playing for Spain and Belgium respectively in the 2014 World cup.
It is a a queer situation for Juan Mata especially. The Spaniard has been in fine form since making his move to England and was voted Chelsea’s Player of the Year in both the seasons that he has played for Chelsea. However, Mourinho’s return has not helped his cause as Mata has been regularly benched.
A move back to Spain will definitely boost Mata’s chances of getting a ticket to Brazil this summer.
