Rumour: Chelsea hattrick hero Samuel Eto'o to leave in the summer

According to recent reports coming out of England, it is being suggested that Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o will leave in the summer following the expiry of his contract.

Among several teams, Spanish outfit Mallorca are said to be front runners for the Cameroon international.

He said: “I’ll always like Barca, but I personally prefer Mallorca”

The 32-year old joined the Blues on a year long contract from Russian money bags Anzhi Makhachkala only this summer. The striker was in poor form prior to the hattrick he scored against Manchester United.

Although Roman Abromivic does not prefer renewing contracts of players above 30, the owner might be compelled to do so if the forward continues his reignited goal scoring form.
