Rumour: Chelsea look to bring 18 million pound rated Daniele De Rossi to the Bridge

Roma star, Daniele De Rossi has been on Chelsea’s radar for some time now. He has been instrumental in Roma’s brilliant start to the season. However, the 18 million man has proved to be elusive so far.

As Frank Lampard nears the end of his glittering career, Mourinho has identified the Italian to fill that void in mid-field, along-side Ramires. Micheal Essien and John Obi Mikel look less than convincing in that role, raising speculation of their possible exit.

The 30-year old was adamant that he will finish his career with Roma the last time Chelsea approached him. Mourinho and Chelsea owner Abromovic will believe they can change that this time around.
