Chelsea are reportedly planning a move for highly-rated Brazilian star, Roberto Firmino, who is currently plying his trade for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.
The young talent has been highly-sought after by a number of clubs across Europe after his scintillating performances for the German outfit this campaign. Firmino is the highest scoring Brazilian in Europe this season, but despite that he did not make the Brazil World Cup squad.
Liverpool have been heavily linked with the 22-year-old, however, after Chelsea agreed a deal for Diego Costa, the Blues want to wrap up another deal and have reportedly been given the go-ahead by the hierarchy at Stamford Bridge to submit a £15 million offer for the youngster, according to the Metro.
Firmino is a fast and exciting player and he is regarded as one of Brazil’s finest talents. His ability to pluck something out of nothing has attracted plenty of attention in Europe, let alone Germany.
Bayern Munich and Barcelona have also been keeping tabs on the player and it is thought Chelsea may have to up their offer in-order to snap up the player, with Firmino not short of potential suitors.
Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho is keen to strengthen his side before the World Cup gets under away to avoid paying any over extortionate prices.
