Chelsea could reportedly let go Mykhailo Mudryk as they look to snap up Crystal Palace striker Michael Olise. Mudryk has had an underwhelming stint since arriving in January 2023.

Mudryk, 23, has registered seven goals and four assists in 58 games across competitions since arriving on a reported €70 million transfer. All seven goals and two of the four assists came last season in 41 games across competitions as the Blues finished sixth in the Premier League.

However, the season was still an underwhelming one for the Blues - despite reaching at least the semifinals in both domestic cups. With Mauricio Pochettino departing after just one season, Enzo Maresca has come in after winning the Championship with Leicester City.

The Blues have reinforcements in attack - especially out wide - but they are looking to further replenish that as they look to snap up Olise. The 22-year-old Crystal Palace winger registered 10 goals and six assists in 19 Premier League games last season and is contracted with the club till 2027.

Meanwhile, Mudryk - contracted with Stamford Bridge till 2031 - could be shown the door - as per Football Insider - as the Blues step up their pursuit of Olise.

Mauricio Pochettino oversaw an expensive overhaul at Chelsea last summer - building a largely youthful new-look roster and jettisoning multiple experienced campaigners.

However, the Blues largely struggled for consistency - especially in the league - where they looked likely for consecutive mid-table finishes before a late resurgence - winning five straight games saw them finish second.

Pochettino's side fared well in both domestic cups despite their league travails - reaching the EFL Cup final - losing 1-0 in extra time to Liverpool - and the last-four in the FA Cup - losing 1-0 to holders Manchester City.

The Blues initially qualified for the UEFA Europa League, but with Manchester United winning the FA Cup, they dropped down to the UEFA Europa Conference League instead.
