Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury Hall could reportedly be on the move to Arsenal when the transfer window reopens in January. The 26-year-old had arrived at Stamford Bridge this summer from Leicester City.

However, Dewsbury Hall has struggled for first-team minutes under Enzo Maresca, contributing a goal and an assist in 14 games across competitions, starting eight. Both goal contributions have come in the UEFA Europa Conference League, where the Blues are atop the standings. Maresca's side are the only team to win their opening five games.

He's yet to make a goal contribution in five games off the bench in the Premier League, though, where the Blues are second, behind Liverpool (36), having played a game more.

As per Caught Offside, the Blues have deemed Dewsbury Hall surplus to requirements, but the midfielder won't be without potential suitors. The report mentions the Gunners as his likely destination. The two clubs have done business in the summer, with Raheem Sterling moving to the Emirates on loan for the season.

Leicester City, Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion, Brentford, Manchester United and Rangers are also said to be in the fray for his services.

It's pertinent to note that Dewsbury was one of the key players in Maresca's Championship-winning Leicester City team last season. The midfielder contributed 12 goals and 14 assists in 44 games as the Foxes returned to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal are in the midst of decent seasons, especially the Blues, who have made a good start to life under new boss Enzo Maresca. They are the closest side in the standings to Premier League leaders Liverpool.

Maresca's side are unbeaten in 10 games across competitions - winning eight, including the last seven - since a 2-0 loss at Newcastle United in the EFL Cup fourth round.

Coming off a 2-1 home win over Brentford in the Premier League at the weekend, they next take on Shamrock Rovers at home in the Conference League on Thursday (December 19).

Meanwhile, Arsenal are third in the Premier League, coming off a goalless home draw with Everton in the league at the weekend. Unbeaten in eight games across competitions - winning five - the Gunners next take on Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup quarter-final on Wednesday (December 18).
