Sami Khedira has been linked with Chelsea and Machester United for quite sometime. The German international was a permanent feature in Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid team when he was in charge at the Bernabeu. The current Chelsea boss is keen to reunite with his former player and reportedly had a bid rejected for him by Real Madrid last summer.
Reports say that Real Madrid have moved to offer Khedira a new deal that will keep him beyond his current deal which expires in 2015.
Khedira was also subject to a whopping £40m bid from Manchester United on the deadline day but that was promptly rejected by Real Madrid who subsequently issued a hands off warning to clubs interested in the player.
The midfielder is currently sidelined with a long term injury that could see him possibly miss the World cup in summer.
