Real Madrid are set to offer Manchester United Fabio Coentrao for £10 million in the summer.
United manager David Moyes made a late move for the left-back during last summer’s transfer window, but the move fell apart at the final hour of the window.
However, now it appears the Spanish giants, who were beaten in El Clasico last night, are willing to offload the 26-year-old for £10m at the end of the season, according to the Metro.
United are expected to be in the market for a new left-back, with Patrice Evra likely to depart Old Trafford, but Moyes’ top target for the position is Southampton youngster Luke Shaw who has attracted interest from a number of top clubs.
He is likely to leave Southampton in the summer but will command a huge fee in the region of £25 million.
Coentrao would offer a cheaper alternative than Shaw and also has experience in the Champions League as well as having won trophies in Spain with Real Madrid.
He has made just six La Liga appearances this season under Carlo Ancelotti and appears to be surplus to requirements.
