Italian outfit Fiorentina are preparing an ambitious bid to land Manchester United defender Nemenja Vidic in the January transfer window.

Nemenja Vidic has been the standout defender Manchester United for many years, and looks to have rediscovered his best after injuries haunted him the last couple of seasons.

The center back has been one of the most inspirational players at Old Trafford, and commands a major presence at the back, organising the defense and keeping it watertight. The 32-year old has notched 283 appearances for the Red Devils since 2005.

Fiorentina will need to put their best foot forward if they have any chance of luring the Serbian to the Serie A. Manchester United will do all they can to keep hold of their star, as they look to compete for silverware this season.
