According to the dutch newspaper ‘De telegraaf‘, the two time Ballon D’or winner Ronaldinho has signed for the Turkish side Be?ikta? and has agreed a two-and-a-half year deal with the club.
Last week, Ronaldinho’s brother and agent, Roberto de Assis admitted that talks had been going on with the Turkish club for more than a year
Ronaldinho, who led Atletico Mineiro to win the Copa Libertadores in 2013, is believed to have taken this step to improve his chances of making into Scolari’s Brazil squad for the World Cup 2014. He was also announced as South America’s Best Player of 2013 having scored 16 goals for his club and taking them to the semi-finals of the Club World Cup.
One of Be?ikta? board members Ahmet Kavalci revealed the two parties were in discussion last week.
“With Ronaldinho official transfer talks have begun, the cost will be met through sponsors,” he said.
“However, in its current state the problem of the transfer is that the cost has yet to be agreed on.”
